“The change will come fast”
Assuming that IPTV consists of only the topics related so far would be thinking conservatively. Because new technologies are being developed in short periods of time, and their priority and strength lies not only in the technology, but on the social side as well. IPTV is a notion in which technology is strong, and both the social and psychological services are on the forefront. So, while talking about IPTV, it is important to keep in mind that social activities are in the spotlight. We’re living in a global world, so it may seem advantageous to look overseas on the subject of IPTV’s development. But we also should bear this in mind: 20 years ago, it took 50 years for a product manufactured in the United States to reach Turkey. But with the beginning of the internet era and global culture being established, we have the opportunity to reach many new things simultaneously.
We’re entering a structure in which demand is putting a strain on supply where we look for other ways to reach products we can’t normally access.
The origin of our failure about social networks and the internet is the 1 – 1.5 year long delay when something is released in the global environment and when we the Turkish decide to produce something similar. So, companies who are planning to develop products concerning IPTV should start doing so right away,because a releasing a product over the internet is not as expeditious as it used to be. It takes a couple of months for an idea to be formed and for it to be released over the internet. When I was working with MediaCat Academy about marketing over Twitter and gave lectures there, Twitter was just a 5 month old baby. But we can see that in no time Twitter became a serious marketing strategy, and a part of the marketing culture. Brands which don’t market over Twitter are even deemed unsuccessful by companies. From this point of view, work on IPTV should start now. There already is work in progress about IPTV in Turkey, and if an idea forms in your head you should put it out there as soon as possible, because otherwise they won’t be compatible with technologies to be developed and products to be released in the near future, and stay as little seeds in your brain.
