“Your cellphones will turn into television channels”
We’ll come to see the television in our households being used in different ways in short time. The most important of these will surely be the home automation systems. Most of the home automation systems will be connected to televisions. But there isn’t just one television in households anymore. We’re going to a world in which the number of monitors is rising. When you come to think of it, it doesn’t seem enough. In time mobile televisions will be parts of our daily lives. The most widely used method for this will be the large screens which are parts of most smartphones being used for IPTV.
“iPad and other tablet computers to come will take a personal version of the television in our households into our lives.”
What I mean are the mobile IPTV applications. Mobile IPTV applications are able to work over GPRS. Since the screens are small, the quality of the visuals doesn’t need to be very high. Yet the screens of mobile phones keep expanding. Because of this, it will be possible to use IPTV applications from mobile phones shortly. Everyone will like the mobile structure, which will enable them to carry a program they’re watching on the television to their mobile phones and keep watching from there, or record the program to watch later on. We are fully aware that these applications will be made possible in the near future. Some already have been released. Of course it is important not to overlook another area of activity other than mobile phones.
What we’re talking about are the “iPad”s. iPad and other tablet computers to come will bring into our lives a personal version of the television in our households. One of the applications used by iPads is Fios, developed by Verizon in England. Fios lets you watch the live broadcast of a television channel from your iPad. A similar practice is Tivibu, developed by Turkey’s TTNET being made available for iPhones and iPads in the near future, as revealed by TTNET authorities. We can see that this will also be a part of our lives soon. With the 3G technology being replaced by 4G, these opportunities will rise very quickly.
The wireless networks we use in our households have the bandwidth needed for the quality of image required by iPads. This is why we’ll be able to watch the television from iPads in our homes. We don’t even have to mention that each one of these applications is an IPTV application. Any method other than the mobile IPTV application that you’ll use to watch television will require a TV tuner, a device which searches for stations. Since we already talked about the differences between IPTV applications and internet television applications, I’m not going to include them once again, but it is vital to point out that as bandwidths increase, Internet TV applications will turn into IPTV applications soon.
