SOPA’dan yana olduğunu açıklayan godaddy.com isimli alan adı satan kuruma tepki olarak kişiler alan adlarını godaddy’den taşıdılar. Godaddy.com ticari olarak bu zarara dayanamayacağını belirterek SOPA’dan desteğini çekti.
18.01.2012 de bazı web siteleri SOPA’ya karşı tavır almışlar ve web sitelerini kapatmışlardır.
SOPA Blackout diye geçen bu olaya dahil olan web sitelerinin listesini alttaki dökümanda görebilirsiniz.
Ancak listenin bir kısmını yazılı olarak da aktarmayı uygun buldum.
